Dear Sue,

I am writing you for forgotten kindness. These are the things I remember you did for me, after I got my first job at the Hazel Green Hospital in 1968.

Helped me find a place to live, and make me feel welcome and part of your family.

You were part of the group that serenaded Denny and I after we were married.

A special memory of quilting on a big quilting frame with your mother and family and friends.

Taking care of me when I fell on the ice, while pregnant with Nancy.

Being a good friend while Denny was in the Service and I was alone, and then a new mother.

All your kindness when my marriage was so difficult.

All the special things you did while Nancy recuperated from being hit by a car.

For keeping in touch with me all these years later.

Thank-you for your note from Florida when my Dad died.

All your kindness has always been remembered, and now the reason for this special award.
