    Al Fox Funeral Is Held Tuesday at Okanogan

    Okanogan - A funeral for Al Fox, 80, longtime Okanogan auctioneer and real estate and insurance dealer, was held Tuesday at the Okanogan funeral home. Burial was with Masonic rites at the Conconully cemetery. Fox was born September 14, 1880 at Madison, S. Dak. He homesteaded near Bridgeport in 1918 after having come to the area as a stage driver.
    Later he was in business at Okanogan where he built many houses and ____ building where the telephone exchange and R____ store are now. He plated and developed the Alora addition, that part of OOkanogan lying north of Irene street.
    He was an enthusiastic golfer and one of the promoters of the old Warden Meadows course south of Okanogan and of the present Okanogan Valley golf course on ____ ____.
    Fox died March 2 at Long Beach, Calif. where he moved about ten years ago. Surviving are the widow. Pauline, at Long Beach; a brother, Ray, at Okanogan; and several nieces and nephews.

    Mrs. Ora Fox, 54, Dies in Okanogan

    Long Illness Terminated By Death Early Sunday Morning at Hospital

    Mrs. Ora Fox, 54, wife of A. L. Fox of Okanogan, died Sunday morning about 2 o'clock in the Okanogan hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Yarwood Funeral Home with the Rev. V. B. Newhouse of the Okanogan Presbyterian church in charge, and burial will be made in the Conconully cemetery.
    Mrs. Fox was a pioneer of the Okanogan valley having made her home at Okanogan for over 20 years.
    Besides her husband she leaves her paents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Hoover of Ocean City, three sisters, Mrs. Harold Greely of Okanogan, Mrs. Marie Smith of Pateros, and another sister in California.
