May M. Meng, 88, died on Saturday, Aug. 4, 1990, at her home.
She was born in Troy, on May27, 1902. She was the daughter of the late Felix and Sarah (Wintermantel) Sprecher. She taught school for several years at Witwen, Black Hawk and Harrisburg rural schools. She was also employed by the General Telephone Company as chief operator and cashier for 30 years. She married Raymond L. Meng on Nov. 16, 1963, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1990. She was a member of the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Cheerful Gleaners Sunday School Class. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Florence.
She is survived by a sister, Grace Litscher of Prairie du Sac; and many nieces, nephews an dear friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Concordia United Methodist Church in Prairie du Sac, with Pastor David Hein officiating. Burial followed in the Prairie du Sac Cemetery.
