Esther Rose Heitz Ellis of Oklahoma City OK peacefully passed away May 18, 2011. She was born on December 19, 1916, in Hassan Valley Township, Minnesota, to Paul Frederick Heitz and Mary Krieger Heitz. Esther was the wife of Ray Clifford Ellis, who preceded her in death. Sisters Ruth Prail, Lucille Walker, Vera Butterworth, and brother Paul Heitz preceded her in death. Her remaining sister is Hazel Dirlam. Her children are Cynthia Rae Ellis Demory of Dallas TX and Randy Lee Ellis Edmond OK. Her granddaughters are Jennifer Ellis of Edmond OK, Tracey Ellis of Oklahoma City OK, and Mandi & husband Kevin Roushelang of Houston TX. Great grandsons are Gage Ellis, Cord Ellis, Tanner Coulson, and Carson Rouhselang, who called her Grammy Essie.
Esther was a Rosy the Riveter during WW II in California, where she met her future husband, Ray. She spent the majority of her working life as a bookkeeper. She loved her family dearly. One of her favorite pastimes was reading.

REDWOOD?FALLS - Hazel Dirlam, 91, of Redwood Falls. died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 23, at First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls. Burial will follow in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 until 10 a.m.
Memorials are preferred to Friends of the Park, Redwood Area Library Foundation, or First United Methodist Church Trust Fund.
Arrangements are with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Redwood Falls.
Hazel Ethel Dirlam, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Kroeger) Heitz, was born Feb. 7, 1920, in Glencoe.
Hazel is survived by her children, Dona Mary Dirlam of Santa Monica, Calif. , Dennis Dirlam of Eden Prairie, Gary Dirlam of Baxter, and Debra Dirlam of Redwood Falls; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Earl "Dick" Dirlam in 1994; a brother; and four sisters.
