Hester CHAMBERS

1Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, FamilySearch.com,  “Our Wyllys Family,” by Sheldon Whiting. "HESTER CHAMBERS was born about 1567, in Williamscote, Oxfordshire, England, to George Chambers and Judith Calcott.  She married Richard Wyllys.

Hester Chambers died after 1602. She along with Richard, and his parents are buried at the Church of St. Peter and St. Clare at Fenny Compton. (Age about 35.)

Children of Richard Wyllys and Hester Chambers:

1.George Wyllys was born in 1590 at the manor of Fenny Compton, Warwickshire, England, to Richard Wyllys (1572-1597) and Hester Chambers (1566- .) On November 2, 1609, he married Bridget Young at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-on-Avon. George Wyllys died in Hartford on 9 March 1645, just months before his two daughters married. He was about 55 years old.

She was the daughter of Francis and Alice (Ferneley) Smith of Stratford-on-Avon, England. Her father had been bailiff, or Mayor, of Stratford. The local parish register records the baptism in February 1631 of a son, Samuel, to “George Willys, Gent. and Mary his second wife.”."

ANETA DE PRESTON COLES (1538-1590)

AMBROSE WYLLYS was born about 1533, at Fenny Compton, Warwickshire, England to William Wyllys (1512- ) and Anna Clark (1516-1536.)

He married Amye Colles, born 1535 at Little Preston, Northumberlan, daughter of William and Jane Coles.  They reportedly had “eight sonnes all deceased in their infancy, but one sonne named Richard, and one daughter named Anne, yet living.”

Ambrose Wyllys died about 1590 and is buried at the Church of St. Peter and St. Clare at Fenny Compton, built in the 14th Century.  He was about 57 years old.

1.Richard Wyllys was born in about 1573 at Fenny Compton, Warwickshire, England, to Ambrose Wyllys (1536- ) and . He married Hester Chambers. Richard Wyllys died 10 June 1597 and is buried at the Church of St Peter and St. Clare at Fenny Compton.  He was about 24 years old."
