Henry will be Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Wuehler officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Dover, MN. Mrs. Henry, 92, died Wednesday, March 4 at Shorewood Senior Living Center. She was born February 16, 1917 in the Dover Township area. Her family moved to Dover and resided there for many years. She was an active member of the Dover First Methodist Church, women's auxilary and eastern star, and was a busy stay at home mom. She graduated from Dover High School in 1934, and took teacher training after which she taught country school for several years. She was married to J. Burton Henry on June 4th 1940. They moved to Lansing, MI. Burton worked for Northrup King Co. as a sales representative. After several years, they moved back to MN where they farmed for 30 years. In 1978, they moved to Rochester. Ivene worked as a light consultant for Northern Lights. Burton worked as a real estate agent for Gill Real Estate. Survivors include 4 sons, Douglas (Susan) of Marshfield, MO, Bradford (Diane) of Minneapolis, Charles (Sue) of Dover and James of Dover; 17 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 1 brother, Edison Britzius of FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Elmer Britzius; her husband; a son, Donald; two sisters, Bernice and Lola; and a brother, Harold.A visitation will be Friday, March 6 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church."

Anderson, 88, of Rochester died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Charter House in Rochester.He was born Jan. 27, 1915, to Olaf and Clara Anderson, on a farm south of Eyota, Minn. At age four his family moved to Rochester. He was in the first kindergarten class at Hawthore School in 1920. He graduated from Rochester High School and Rochester Junior College, where he was involved in football, wrestling, track and American Legion baseball (the team made it to the state tournament). He majored in math and science at St. Olaf College. He graduated in 1936. He played offensive and defensive guard in football. In 1935, he played on the team that won the MIAC state championship.He taught science and physical education. He also coached football, basketball and baseball in Reeder, N.D., for one year; in Dover, Minn., for two years; and in Spring Valley, Minn., for four years.On June 4, 1940, he married Lola Britzius in Dover. From 1943 to 1945, during World War II, he taught Navy pre-flight cadets in the Navy V-5 Program at St. Olaf. After the war he moved back to Rochester, where he worked as an agent for Prudential Insurance Co. for 17 years. He then became an appraiser in the Rochester Assessor's Office. In 1964, he was appointed assessor for the city of Richfield, Minn., a suburb of Minneapolis, where he served for 17 years until retiring in July 1981.He was president of the Minnesota Assessor's Association and a member of the First Minnesota State Board of Assessors for six years. He and Lola continued to live in Richfield until October 1997, when they moved back to Rochester.He is survived by four children, Sharon (Robert) Muras of Winona, Joanie (Russell) Ferree of Forest Lake, Minn., Craig (Dawn) Anderson of Plymouth, Minn., and Lori (Greg) Bunce of Maple Grove, Minn.; 10 grandchildren, Brian (Heather) Muras, Vanessa (Jeremiah) Gamble, Kevin Muras, Michael (Kellie) Murray, Kim (Alan) DeKeyrel, Brett Anderson, Deanna Anderson, Heather Anderson, Sharayah Bunce and Trevor Bunce; four great-grandchildren, Megan and Mitchell Muras, Phoenicia Gamble and Kylie DeKeyrel; and a sister, Louise Gravos of Red Wing, Minn.He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Andy; and sister, Alice.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Zumbro Lutheran Church, Rochester, with the Rev.
