1Forrest Zimmerman, Zimmerman Family Tree, Personal files of Dianne Z. Stevens, 1301 Reetz Road, Madison, WI 53711. One night about 1958, Dianne had been asking her dad about the Zimmerman family. Forrest got out a large piece of drafting paper and methodically laid out the whole family beginning with Christian Zimmerman and Elizabeth Kneil, Forrest's great-grandfather. The tree covers five generations. There are a few blanks. Apparently they didn't keep up too well with the family of Forrest's great-uncle, Henry Zimmerman. There are 175 names on the tree. Forrest drew it from memory. The funny part is this. Forrest never wanted to have anything to do with his cousins. Dianne only remembers meeting one of them ever.

OBITUARY-
RACINE -- The funeral for Helen Zimmerman will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Faith United Methodist Church in Spring Valley, with the Rev. James W. Ross officiating. Burial will be in Racine-Salem Cemetery in rural Racine.
Mrs. Zimmerman, 82, a resident of Stewartville Nursing Home and a former longtime Racine homemaker, died Tuesday (Aug. 17, 1993) at the nursing home.
Helen King was born here Nov. 12, 1910, graduated from Spring Valley High School and lived in the Racine area until entering the nursing home four years ago.
On June 3, 1929, she married Rolland Zimmerman at her parents' home in rural Racine. Her husband died in 1987. Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and its women's organizations, and the B.I. Club, Farm Bureau, Mower County Extension Women and YOMACO.
Survivors include two sons, Lawrence "Larry" of Rochester and Donald of Racine; a daughter, Eleanor (Mrs. Leo) Bernard of Spring Valley; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Evelyn (Mrs. Henry) Mayer of Racine, Myrna (Mrs. Frank) McDaniel of Palisade, Colo., Marjorie (Mrs. George) Williams of Portage, Wis., and Della (Mrs. Alvin "Bud") Young of Hawthorne, Nev.
