2Obituary, WI State Journal, 24 Oct 2016. "SAUK PRAIRIE - Ruth D. Hehenberger, age 97, passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at the Pines Assisted Living. She was born in Troy Township on Dec. 7, 1918, the daughter of the late Fred and Rose (Wintermantel) Sprecher. She grew up in Black Hawk, graduating from Black Hawk Rural School and Prairie du Sac High School in 1937. She married Donald Hehenberger on Sept. 2, 1943. They farmed for 17 years and moved to Sauk City in 1960. Ruth enjoyed playing cards, embroidering, and together with Donald, delivered Meals on Wheels. She was an active member of the First United Church of Christ.
Ruth is survived by her five children, Marilyn (Thomas) Arnold of Madison, Donald J. (Gloria) Hehenberger of Madison, Rodney (Carol) Hehenberger of Sauk City, Sandra (Steve) Gullickson of Madison, and Sally (Mark) Mellenberger of South Wayne; nine grandchildren, Douglas Arnold, David Arnold, Lance (Abigail) Hehenberger, Michelle (Ryan) Burdick, Rodney (Staci) Hehenberger, Tracy Hehenberger, Lisa (Chris) Spohn, Mitchell (Heidi) Mellenberger and Adam (Greta) Mellenberger; four step-grandchildren, Chris (Nikol) Mellenberger, Richard Patterson, Cindy (Todd) Dunst, and Brian Patterson; ten great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in 2003; sisters, Viola (Howard) Sorg and Rosina (Cecil) McCready; brothers, Wilbert (Marcella) Sprecher and Clarence (Argent) Sprecher; and sister-in-law, Shirley (Merle) Ryan.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at FIRST UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 504 Washington St., Sauk City, with Pastor Bill Kapp officiating. Interment will follow in the Sauk City Cemetery. FITCHBURG—Marilyn J. Arnold passed away on Jan. 29, 2018. She was born June 20, 1944, the oldest child to Donald R. and Ruth D. (Sprecher) Hehenberger. She grew up in the Sauk Prairie area, attending Little Prairie one-room school, Black Hawk Grade School, Prairie du Sac High School and graduated from Sauk City High School in 1962. She attended UW-Platteville.
Marilyn married Thomas G. Arnold on June 6, 1964. They had twin sons, Douglas and David. In 1969, they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, and then Austin, Texas, where Marilyn completed her teaching degree at the University of Texas in 1976. She then began a long and rewarding teaching career at Winn Elementary School in Austin. They returned to Wisconsin in 1987 and resided in Madison. Marilyn resumed her teaching career at Randall Elementary School, retiring in 2010.
Marilyn was an active member of Orchard Ridge United Church of Christ and Alpha Delta Kappa teacher sorority.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas; sons, Douglas and David; brothers, Donald J. (Gloria) Hehenberger and Rodney (Carol) Hehenberger; and twin sisters, Sandy (Steve) Gullickson and Sally (Mark) Mellenberger. She is further survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Bridget Arnold, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Orville and Mabel Arnold; and step mother-in-law, Evelyn Arnold.
A visitation in memory of Marilyn will be held in the JOHNSON DINING ROOM at AGRACE HOSPICE CARE on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at ORCHARD RIDGE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, beginning at 2 p.m. Burial of her ashes will take place at a later private service in the Garth area at the church.
Marilyn was proud of the ADK sorority scholarship program for aspiring teachers. She would appreciate any memorials to be made to ADK, c/o Kris Koenen, 521 Hilltop Drive, Madison, WI 53711 or to the charity of your choice.

Morris Jay Braden, 51, passed away Aug. 11, 2007, at his home in Billings. He was born April 24, 1956, in Glasgow, the son of Virgil Leroy and Jean Marlys (Ballard) Braden. After graduating from Glasgow High School in 1974, Morris attended Carroll College. He received a degree in accounting in 1978 with CPA certification in 1979. He attended the University of Montana Law School, receiving his law degree in 1982.
On Sept. 1, 1979, he was united in marriage to Jean L. Chouinard in Glasgow. After completing their educations, they moved to Billings, where Morris worked for Peat Marwick, as well as Wright, Tolliver, Guthals Law Firm. His journey into entrepreneurship started with Cinder Brothers Chimney Sweeps, a Bozeman company started with his brother Curt and best friend Mark. Morris owned and operated Mother's Oven in the Heights, Braden Law Firm and, most recently, Professional Management. He served as the current president of the Yellowstone Property Management Association.
Morris aspired to be an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and water skiing. He loved basketball and played on numerous YMCA and City League championship teams.
Morris' enthusiam for life has left an everlasting impression on his family and friends. He was a wonderful and thoughtful husband and father; his life revolved around the happiness and well being of his two beautiful daughters. The family vacations were planned months in advance and were the highlight of the year. Those fond memories and adventures will glow around future campfires for years to come.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Marlys Braden; and brothers, Ronnie Rocky, Mike,and Rande Braden.
Morris is survived by his wife Jean; daughters Megan and Hannah; and foster daughter Shelbi; brother Curt and his wife Paula; several nieces and nephews; and an amazing number of very close friends, many dating back to grade school.
A gathering of friends and family, to share memories and laughter, will be held at the Braden home, Thursday, Aug. 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial services for Morris will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at The Perfect Place, with a reception to follow.
Memorials may be made to Boys and Girls Club, 505 Orchard Lane, Billings, MT 59101; Planned Parenthooh, 2525 Fourth Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101; or the charity of one's choice.

Kenneth Florien Adams died Sept. 15, 2006, at age 70. Mr. Adams was born Sept. 11, 1936, in Beach, N.D., and moved to Portland in 1946. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and served in the Oregon National Guard. He was a truck driver for Albertsons. In 1999, he married Marlene Storie.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Steve and Shaun; daughter, Holly Peters; brothers, Leroy and Leonard; sisters, Joyce Bollenbaugh and Carol Joan Batsch; and four grandchildren.
