Alfred W. Schumann, age 91, Sartell, MN died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Country Manor Health Care Center, Sartell, MN.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM Granite City Baptist Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Graham United Methodist Cemetery, Rice, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Alfred Schumann was born August 7, 1916 in Graham Township, Benton County, MN, to Fred and Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Heitz) Schumann. He farmed in Graham Township, Benton County and then later started and operated the Silver Corner Feed Store for over 15 years. Alfred was a member of Granite City Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Eva (Theron) Melius of Mora, MN; nieces and nephews, Anne Schumann, Darlene (Dennis) Benson, John (Christel) Schumann, Joel (Joan) Schumann, Karen Schumann, Kevin (Carol) Schumann; great nieces and nephews, Heidi (Jason) Sheard, Mark (Mandy) Benson, Brian (Jill) Benson, Joshua , Jodi, Jill, Eric, Jana, Jason and Kara Schumann; great-great nieces and nephews, Madeline, Watson and Carter Sheard, and Bode and Haley Benson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Wallace Schumann, sisters, Estelle Larson, Salome Quarnstrom, and Lavina Schumann, and a nephew, David Schumann."

Harold F. Greely, 73, longtime resident and well-known businessman of Okanogan, died early Monday morning at his home.
Mr. Greely had been in failing health for the past several weeks. About a month ago his family were informed that he had cancer of the blood.
Funeral services were held yesterday (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. from the Okanogan Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Kinch officiating. The Okanogan Masonic Lodge was in charge of closing services which were held at the Okanogan Cemetery.
Mr. Greely was born on May 29, 1896 in Minnesota. He moved with his family to Molson when he was only five years old. He attended school there before moving to Okanogan in 1917.
He married Greta Hoover at Okanogan on Feb. 2, 1918. For many years he operated the Richfield service station on South Second Street.
He was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star, was a past Master and member of the Royal Arch Masons and also a member of the Okanogan Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife, Greta; one son, Col. Don Greely, just home from Viet Nam; one brother, Clair Greeley, Okanogan; two sisters, Merle Holman, Seattle, and Ethel Monroe, Port Townsend and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held July 27 for Greta H. Greely, 99, Okanogan, who died Nov. 19, 1994, at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Fla.
She was born Mar. 29, 1895 in Brownsville, Ore., to Mathew G. Hoover and Rosa Wintermantel Hoover.
In 1899 the family moved to Washington, first to Edwall and then in 1900 to Bridgeport, where she grew up and graduated from high school in a class of four girls.
In 1917 she moved with her parents to a homestead on the Colville Indian Reservation near Jackass Butte to the east of Okanogan. She also homesteaded in that area.
She attended college in Bellingham and at Washington State College and taught school in several one-room, multi-graded classes around Okanogan, on Windy Hill and on the reservation.
On Feb. 4, 1918, she and Harold F. Greely were married in Okanogan. She lived in Okanogan all her life except for several years in the early 1920's when Mr. Greely was employed by the Puget SWound Bridge and Dredging Co. in Maybelle, Texas, and Seattle.
Mr. Greely operated service stations in Okanogan and Mrs. Greely worked at the C. J. Brier Store and later at a jewelry store in Okanogan.
She was a member of the Eastern Star chapter, where she was a past worthy matron. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Okanogan United Methodist Church, and the Okanogan Senior Citizens Association.
She is survived by her son, Don, of Satellite Beach, Fla; a grand-daughter, Cheryl Cotter, and great-granddaughter, Alyson Lyndon Cotter of Winter Park, Fla.
She was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; grand-son Don Jr.; and two sisters, Ora Hoover Fox and Marie Hoover Smith.
She was cremated in Florida and will be in__ned in the Okanogan Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at the Okanogan United Methodist Church.
